Neo and Caper litter week 2

During the second week puppies mostly nurse and sleep. All the puppies doubled their weight by eight days (we expect healthy puppies to double their weight by ten days). Caper is doing a great job feeding them and keeping them clean. We have continued ENS and ESI. So far their favorite scents are soil, coconut and rabbit. Their least favorite scents have been pine shavings, cinnamon and star anise. Their eyes started opening at 9-10 days of age, on the early side. Ears are still closed. Their vocalizations have increased and they are starting to get their legs under them. They had their second nail trim this week, I introduced them to an infant nail grinder which worked great.
